What is XTBL Ransomware?

The.XTBL virus, also known as the Troldesh Trojan, adds an extension to every file and creates a ReadMe.Txt document in every folder containing encrypted data. Besides the files and folders, XTBL will also target your desktop screen placing a note encouraging you to read the ReadMe document. The Troldesh Trojan uses the RSA-2048 key (AES CBC 256-bit encryption algorithm), appending the.XTBL extension to encrypted files. XTBL then displays a message which offers to decrypt the data if payment in Bitcoins is made.
